Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, Local 118 (Curwensville and Clearfield, Pa.) records, 1935-1962.

The collection mainly consists of meeting minutes from the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America local union (designated Local 153 until 1935 and Local 118, 1935-1946) in Curwensville, Pennsylvania. There is a folder of correspondence and documents belonging to union national representative Julia Maietta (1956-1962), who had chaired Local 153 and Local 118. Press releases, newspaper clippings, and pamphlets relate to the union at a national level, as does a published union history, "The Amalgamated: Today and Tomorrow," edited by J. B. S. Hardman (1939). Undated and unidentified photographs show a Curwensville union parade and a Curwensville union picnic (circa 1940-1945).
